The 'Freedom Statue' is very tall (my photo skills show that) and during Soviet times if you placed flowers at the base of the Freedom Statue you were given a free trip to Siberia, hence the locals dubbed it the 'Travel Agency'.

Some church, somewhere. Riga - Latvia – 26 viewsReally tall spire. Think the church on this site dates from the 1300's. Mostly they are never original buildings entirely however due to fires and rebuilding.
